Ingredients for Making Pantua in Bengali Style


A handful of essential dairy products are easily available in Bengal. So, Bengalis use all of those to prepare several types of sweets. The Pantua misti recipe is divided into two parts. The dough and the sugar syrup. Ingredients for making the dough are-

  1. 1 tablespoon maida
  2. 1 cup chenna. 
  3. 1 tablespoon ghee 
  4. 1 tablespoon refined oil.
  5. 2 tablespoon of Khoya

Ingredients for Preparing the Sugar Syrup for Pantua 


  1. 1 cup of water
  2. 1 cup of sugar
  3. 3-4 each or cardamom



Method of Preparing Pantua at Home (Step by Step)


Making of Pantua is very simple but it takes a little long duration to complete. Every step is essential for preparing the chanar pantua recipe. If you want to get the exact taste and texture; you need to follow every step one after another. 

Here is the Pantua recipe step by step


Step 1:

Take the chenna on a flat plate and mash it with your palm by spreading properly until it becomes very smooth.

Step 2:

Add the white flour means maida to it and make the soft dough. 


Step 3:

Now add some khoya in it to increase the taste. 

Step 4:

Make small balls. Try not to make them very big as it will be soaked in sugar syrup and become bigger.

Step 5:

Then take a Kadai or non-stick pan. Give ghee and refined oil to fry all the balls red.

Pantua Sugar Syrup 


The process of pantua making syrup is the same as regular. Take another utensil to boil water on a high flame. Add the cardamom to it. Add the sugar. When it started to become sticky leave it and off the flame. 

Step 7: 

Add all the fried chenna balls. Leave it for at least half an hour to soaked the sweetness properly.

You can serve it hot or cold. The taste will surely melt your heart. 


Sujir Pantua- How to Make Pantua with Sooji?


The preparation of Pantua with Chenna at home is a little time-consuming matter. We don't keep paneer always in homes even. It means, do we need proper planning for preparing Pantua? Ingredients for making the dough for Pantua Recipe (Bengali Style)

  1. 1 cup Suji
  2. 2 cups of fresh milk
  3. 1 tablespoon of sugar. You can use powder also.
  4. 2 tablespoon milk powder
  5. 1 tablespoon ghee

Ingredients for the Sugar Syrup for Sujir Pantua Recipe

  1. 4 cups of water
  2. 2 cups of sugar
  3. 3-4 cardamom

Method of Preparing Soojir Pantua at Home (Step by Step)


More or less we all eat suji whether its prepare as a salty dish or the sweet one. Suji Pantua sweet recipe is a special innovation of Bengalis. 

Step 1:

Fry the dry suji well in a frying pan. Keep aside.

Step 2:

Now give the ghee on the hot pan. Pour the milk and give a good boil.

When the milk is mostly boiled add the powder milk and 1 tablespoon sugar. Keep it on a high flame. 

Step 4: 

Now, slowly add the fried suji and keep mixing all together. Make sure the gas should be on a medium flame.

The Sugar Syrup for Soojir Pantua


In the process of the recipe for Pantua; the sugar syrup is the same as regular. Take another utensil to boil water on a high flame. Add the cardamom to it. Add the 2 cups sugar and keep boiling. When the mixture started to become a little sticky leave it and off the flame. 

At last, soaked the fried suji balls in the sugar syrup for at least 2 hours to absorb the sweetness properly. 

Gulab Jamun Recipe at Home (North Indian Style)

  1. 5 tablespoon white flour
  2. 1 cup of milk powder
  3. 2 tablespoon ghee
  4. 1 tablespoon card or lemon juice
  5. 2 tablespoon milk
  6. 1 teaspoon baking soda

Method of Preparing Gulab Jamun at Home North Indian Style  (Step by Step)


North Bengal special Gulab Jamun is very simple to prepare. The making of soft dough is the key factor. The juicy spongy balls preparation is usually are of two parts to complete the process. 

Step 1:

Take a mixing bowl and mix flour, baking soda, and milk powder.

Step 2:

Take another small bowl to mix card or lemon juice and card well.

Step 3:

Step 4:

Make small balls and make sure no crack to become on the surface. Or else, the balls will break. 

You can use more yogurt proportionally if required to make the dough crake free.

Gulab Jamun Recipe at Home (Bengali Style) 


The Bengali style Gulab Jamun is quite the same as the regular North Indian ones. Bengalis have very talentedly modified it in their own style.   1. 1 cup Chenna or paneer
  2. 1 cup Milk
  3. 2 cup Milk powder
  4. 10 to 12 Small powder sugar balls which are famously known as 'Nakuldana' in Bengal
  5. 1 cup Sugar
  6. 4 to 5 Cardamom

Method of Preparing Gulab Jamun at Home Bengali Style (Step by Step)

Homemade Gulab Jamun takes a little time we all know. But, the personal loving touch makes it special to the close ones. Let's see the recipe of Gulab Jamun in Bengali Style

Step 1:

Take a big mixing bowl. Mix chenna and milk powder well with a fork.

Step 2:

Now add milk and start making the dough by mashing it well. Try to make it soft.

Divide the dough into equal parts and make small balls.

While making the balls insert the 'Nakuldana' inside. It adds sn extra Bengali touch which is different from the North Indian Gulab Jamun.

Now fry them in oil.

Sugar Syrup for Gulab Jamun 

 
The preparation of the sugar syrup is the same as regular. Take another utensil to boil water on a high flame. Add the cardamom to it. Add the sugar and keep boiling. When the mixture started to become a little sticky leave it and off the flame. 

Step 7:

At last, dipped all the fried balls in the syrup. Try to soak it at least for one hour to absorb the sweetness properly. Then take out in a different bowl and serve sweet gulab jamun in a plate.
